EGL CERT DEADLINE TODAY

So I think I am going to pass on the EGL cert. It makes me uncomfortable and I believe if I do my homework I can get a GIA stone with same specs for not much more and with alot more confidence in what I am getting. I feel very torn but I think I am making the right decision.

I think so too. I feel a little funny abut EGL cert., too for some reason.

you have to go with your instincts. i do think there are good deals in the egl cert world out there, though. i mean, at the end of the day, how does that stone look to you ? if you can mentally accept that a ''g'' rated stone might be an ''h'' but you still love its'' appearance, so what? same for the clarity, etc. i bought an EC that i loved but what outside of the "right" parameters for the "perfect" EC stone. every day i marvel at its scintillation and wonder why are large tabled stone is could be considered too glassy? but anyway.

now having all this, i too opted out of getting an egl-certed stone and preferred the gia cert for my own state of mind.
