So after lots of reading, i''m not sure if what I''ve learned is enough. I''ve been focusing on the cut so far and a very important factor seems to be a well cut diamond that really sparkles. So i''ve been looking at the ACA from WF because I have read great things about them on PS. And when I look at the proportions of an ACA, they are all obviously inline with the requirements.
But I guess my issue is, when I see a diamond that is not ACA or not ideal from other vendors, and the proportions are outside the range of measurements, i''m not sure how that affects the diamond. I could probably safely say it affects the quality, sparkle, etc... But I''m not really sure how. And the next thing is, do I even need to know? Should I just say, stick with ACA or other H&A from other vendors and just know it is of quality and not worry about it?
For example, this diamond specs:
. Report: AGS
. Shape: A Cut Above H&A
. Carat: 1.020
. Depth %: 61.5
. Table %: 56
. Crown Angle: 34.6
. Crown %: 15.2
. Star : 53
. Pavilion Angle: 40.7
. Pavilion %: 42.9
. Lower Girdle %: 76
. Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
. Measurements: 6.46-6.47X3.98
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible
What if the depth % was 63 and the table % was 52? Am I being to detailed and looking to much into it?
