I''m asking if you can help me pick... give it to me straight and honest : ) Any favorites of the 4? Any real losers?

Merci beaucoup!

Wow, those stones are all amazing. I''m trying to think of what kind of jewelry could use four one carat diamonds. :)

I really don''t think you can go wrong -- these are all ACA''s, after all. I''d probably pick the first one -- save a few bucks and it has the second biggest spread.

I''m leaning towards #1, but am a little worried about the thin-faceted girdle... thoughts?

#1, If I must split hairs. I like a smaller table than 57. It''s also a shallower depth than the others. (personal choice). Bigger spread, the angles are good, and it''s the cheapest. Win-win situation.

Now that I''m looking more closely at the Sarin Report, the girdle is listed as:
-Min: 0.8 (thin)
-Max: 1.4 (medium)

This actually isn''t "so bad" right? I was reading that the thin girdles sometimes can chip or get damaged more easily?? Is this dangerous??

Thanks for all the input

Points off for the one with the thin girdle.
I do like HCA near 1.0, but I can't back that up with science.

Maybe see which fall into the center of the top grade for BOTH AGS and GIA.

They are all so close that picking between them is just splitting hairs.
They will all look virtually identical

If they were all four VVS I wouldn't give inclusion differences any thought.
But since they are SI1 I'd compare plots.
Call WF and ask them to pull all four stones and compare inclusions.

Some inclusions are dark black, but some are barely noticeable clouds.
Some are scary feathers (nice word for crack) at the skin and or at the girdle.
Some are right in the middle some are away from the table and the girdle.
Some reflect and are seen 8 times, some not.

I'd just pick the one with the least offensive inclusions.

A thin girdle is desirable. It is very thin that is undesirable. I think you could pull any of them out of a hat and be happy assuming the inclusions are all equal, but I''d probably go for the largest since it is a minimal amount more than the others. However, I would agre with Kenny that I''d want whichever one had the least inclusions and not under the table.

I''d pick #1 for the same reasons Shay said except if the stone isn''t eye-clean. Inclusions can still be eye-clean even if they''re under the table. That''s the case with my SI1 stone.
