LOL, good one! Karl have any cookie recipes to contribute here? https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/holiday-cookie-recipes.73268/

I would start a news ban Karl. I started a bit of my own news ban and things are happier for me since doing that, but that is just my 2 cents

Well, despite the dire predictions, those of us with good credit and a decent downpayment are starting to be able to afford houses again, with a conventional mortgage and reasonable interest rate. At least, that''s the benefit DH and I have been able to see in this. Other than that, yeah, it''s pretty much crap.

That is all we ever hear is bad news lately.

We have posted some good tuna sandwiches and mac and cheese recipes. Come and take a look at those too, along with Skippy''s delicious cookies

They have absolutely no clue. They only know how to apply a bandaid. They can''t figure out how to move one out of the way of the knife.

Yeah! Get those %#$*!ing .gov''s out of the way and let the private sector fix it!

Oh wait...

Hahaha-ditto, Selkie! The house I''ve got my eye on just keep getting cheaper and cheaper. If only I hadn''t had to sign my damn lease again! Oh well-I''m sure the economy will still be crap in the spring!

I think this unfortunately says it all....

I don''t think they have a clue what to do and I surely don''t agree with throwing good money at bad money and saving the auto industry. I think that the contracts need to be renegotiated and that a janitor at a car factory or the guy getting stoned or drunk on the car line and making more money than me saving lives is just pathetic. I do think unions have their place however, the unions just seem to protect the ***holes and their own interests. I''ve personally worked in union and non union jobs and can see a difference.

There is no quick fix. Hard decisions need to be made now for the long run good. I agreed with the person who said that infrastructure of roads and bridges should be worked on now. Because that way Americans can be working now and paying taxes and uplifting their morale at the same time.
