EC Reset, Down to Two settings

This will be a reset of a 1.54 Emerald cut H, VVS2 for a fun pinky ring.

I''m trying to decide between a classic Leon Mege 3 stone setting, and this Hidalgo pave I just found.

Which would you pick? Price not a factor as they''re both within budget.

Love both (but pave does scare me slightly) so I would go with the Leon. The U/S *is* an EC''s best friend so it would be a shame if you couldn''t use it.

I'd say it depends on what look you're after.

The first would be a little more flashy and fun, with not quite so much attention on the EC.

The Leon is more understated and elegant, with more emphasis on the EC.


Both would be pretty, my personal preference would be the Leon.


ETA Forgot this was a pinky ring, the first would probably be more appropriate..

I love Leon''s settings, but for a pinky ring, I''ve got to go with the Hidalgo. If the ring were for any other finger though, I''d vote Leon. I just don''t personally care for the classic look of a 3-stone ring as a pinky ring.

i love the leon, but i think the other ring is more appropriate for a pinky.

(though 1.54 may be too much on a pinky ring either way, maybe you should try something of comparable size on before you commit to either.)

I have chubby fingers

I wear an 8 ring finger, and a 6ish on my pinky. I can only envy those teensy fingered women.

I wish someone carried the Hidalgo so I could see it. The only vendor I found after an extensive online search is Bill Barnes.

Does anyone know of a PS vendor who carries Hidalgo?

I would e-mail them directly. Often times companies will send a sample to your local jeweler. Worth a shot
