easier to shop for round brilliant than cushion?

Hi guys...
So is it easier to shop for round brilliant online than cushion? From what I understand with round cut, you just punch in the numbers on HCA tool and ask for idealscope images, right? With cushion seems like there are so many variables to consider... I'm now leaning toward getting a round brilliant and setting it in a cushion-shape halo. Interested to hear your opinion..

A few of the online diamond companies offer ASET and IdealScope images of Cushion Cut diamonds so that should be a big help. Armed with the right information and research, you should be able to shop online for a Cushion cut diamond. There is a tremendous selection and variances in cushion cut diamonds online (x factor, crushed ice, cushion brilliant, new cushion modified brilliant, antique cushions, cushion). This forum should be a major asset in helping you select the best for your budget!

Yes it probably is easier because there are simpler parameters to follow and rejection tools available but with the help of everyone here, ASET images, and a bit of looking you should be able to find a decent cushion as well.

Maybe you should start by posting the size, colour, clarity you want and the budget you have and everyone will suggest stones for you.

I think as long as the halo is in cushion shape, I will be happy with a round brilliant center.. this way I get the best of both world. The regal shape of cushion and the brilliance of round cut...
