If they are truly well cut (and not just labled so), they should.Date: 10/13/2008 12:46:29 PM

Hi there,
I have a pair of ideal cut diamonds 1.2tcw which I want have made into bezel set earrings.
Will they sparkle as much as prong set earrings?
Thanks
Charks
Many thanks for your reply.
The diamond proportions fall into the AGS O range and they have a lot of fire and scintillation.
I originally intended to set into prong settings but I have a couple of 13 mm tahitian pearls which are too big to use as studs.
I decided they would look best dangling from 3 small bezel set diamonds - approx .10ct - fixed to the ear by a larger diamond stud.
Then I came up with a brainwave.
I have always admired antique jewellery that can be worn in a variety of ways i.e. tiara that tranforms into necklace and earrings.
What if I set my diamond studs in bezels instead of prongs.
I could then then have the pearls made up so they can attach to the bezel and have two sets of earring for the price of one.
In these credit crunch times I think this makes sense.
What do you think.
Will I ruin the beauty of the diamond studs just to save some cash?
Not at all. I happen to like bezel set diamonds, but even if I didn''t, it''s really all about what you like!Date: 10/13/2008 1:53:16 PM
