I finally bought a pair of diamond studs for my gf and just received them. I don''t know much about earrings, but shouldn''t each stud have the same back? One is much larger than the other. Or am I clueless?

For functional purposes, I don''t think it matters. However, I haven''t ever seen a pair of earrings that did not come with the same backs, and if I had just bought them, I would want the matching backs. I''m sure it was just an accident sending them with different earring backs on them, I would contact the vendor and ask if they can send you one to match one of the ones you have already. (I would prefer the larger back, my ears seem to like them more).

I would let the vendor know.

Thanks for the responses. After further investigation, one of the posts is very crooked and noticeably shorter than the other. I''m just disgusted. These were to be a wedding gift in two weeks.

I would contact the vendor ASAP and explain the problem and that you bought them as a wedding gift, and hopefully they can fix them for you on time.

They will make a beautiful and thoughtful wedding gift, I hope you can get this worked out.

Let them know right away and see what they can do to fix it; I would call them first thing tomorrow morning.

Yikes,. yes call them first thing tomorrow morning. So sorry. Let us know what they say, ughh.

Yes, they should have the same backs especially new ones. If the vendor doesn''t send you some in time to give them to your GF, I am sure any local jewelry store can fix you up. They typically charge about $5 per back. The earrings are pretty.

so sorry to hear that, dutch! i recently had some issues with earrings that i purchased so i feel for you. definitely contact the vendor. they should fix the problem immediately. there must''ve been a mix up with the backs because they should match. hope you get everything sorted out in time for the wedding.

Maybe they''re from 2 different sets and have gotten mixed up?
Either way, I hope it all gets sorted out quickly for you ..

I think it matters and makes a difference if you have the problems I have with e/rings drooping on your ears. I have to have the big backs to prevent this from happening, they really do make a big difference on how the e/ring sit on my lope.

These were the 1C preset studs by WhiteFlash. They shouldn''t be the handmade version, but they sure look it. One of the posts/settings was very poorly crafted. From all of the comments I''ve read here, people seemed very happy with the preset martini''s, but my jaw dropped when I opened the box. It was that obvious. I can''t believe something that looked like that was sent to me.

I have followed up with WF, but I think my options are limited due to the time constraints. The diamonds look amazing, so I might have a local jeweler fix them. That will guarantee me an acceptable present in time for the wedding. They''ll definately be an upgrade to her .25C sams club specials! Thanks for all of the help again!

I''m really sorry this happened. I hope you get everything worked out. I know she''ll love the stones.

Oh I feel your pain. I had faulty earrings that missed QC sent to me last week (story here), and it's stinks when you've been expecting something and thinking it was a special project but then it wasn't even special enough to the vendor to get a quality check

I'm sure WF will make it right, mine are from JA and they've been on the ball as well, but it definitely bursts that bubble of excitement and anticipation - not to mention how it interferes with your deadline.
BUT, that is QUITE the upgrade and I'm sure she'll be thrilled!! Good job on that!

That seems like an obvious goof. Call WF first thing and let them know these are for a deadline and since it was their mistake, I''m sure they''ll do everything they can to make it right.

Dutch, these are completely unacceptable, and we are committed to getting them right for you AND on time.

Vera has already set into motion work to get another pair started for you, and we will ship them no later than Monday. She''ll arrange to send a label for you to return the pair you have at our expense as well.

I''m sorry these came to you this way; there''s nothing I can say except we goofed, and we''re committed to making it better than right.

Please feel free to contact me personally as well if I can help in any way.

That''s great to know WF is going to make these right for you. That is awesome!

And that''s why we love WF...and why I can''t wait to get my ring

Just wanted to update everyone; I received my replacement studs this morning and they look great. WF was able to send another pair to me in time. Vera was very helpful with my problem and also my time constraints. I''m very impressed with their customer service. And thankfully I won''t be stuck without a wedding gift!

This is precisely why I love dealing with PriceScope vendors! They do go above and beyond to make customers happy even when a rare mistake happens!

Good job WF!
