I''m trying to put together a set of earrings for my wife''s Christmas present. I would appreciate any opinions and help picking the diamonds and settings. Thanks, Tony

Welcome!

These are all excellent choices and any combo could make lovely studs. I would ask your rep at JA to see which pair match the best, although any differences will be very subtle indeed, use your rep''s expertise to advise you.

What a lovely gift for your wife!

Thank you both, for your input. Felt obligated to stop at the local jewelry store that I have always dealt with in the past, before making the purchase. Had him work me up a price for a set of comparable earrings with graded diamonds, as none of the ones in his store had grading reports. When he was finished and showed me the price (which was significantly higher) he asked what I could get them for online. His comment was buy them, there has to be something wrong with them as the price was less that he can buy them for, and that a grading report only shows you so much.

Hmm.. sour grapes? Well, you can just buy them and then compare it with the goods he has. If they do not perform as well, you can return it as JA comes with a return policy. Do not trust his appraisal of the quality of your buy as he is not impartial then. If you feel the need to, get them appraised by an independent appraiser, you can find one near you using this link.

Someone hasn''t figured out how to win over customers these days...

He is correct that a grading report only shows you so much but as for the rest of his remarks, not uncommon. You are doing great and have some fabulous selections from extremely reputable vendors.
