we are having ours taken at the beach next month and.....i have no idea what to wear!
i see a lot of ladies on here post their pictures and my impression is that its very casual...so, jeans and a nice top for me?

and the same for him.... jeans and a polo or short sleeved button down?

sorry, i''m just pretty clueless about this wedding stuff at times! :)

as always, thanks in advance everyone! this board has been so helpful to me

You should wear whatever makes you feel good and what you''re most comfortable in. If you feel comfortable, it will help you be relaxed for the session. HTH! =)

We actually had to ask our photographer the day of since it was overcast and rainy. She told us to bring solid colors and not to wear all white and khaki.. I was going to wear a cranberry halter and he was going to wear shorts until it got blustery and chilly. Cute and comfortable - and what you feel most confident in.

yes, definitely cute and comfortable. if the pics are going to be taken ON the beach, jeans may not be as comfy since sand plus denim could be itchy, so if you''re going to be actually walking on the sandy part, you might do better with capris or a sundress or something, and him in shorts, but that''s just a thought.

Definitely wear solids. Another suggestion I have is that if you plan to display your e-pics at your reception, make sure your color scheme works with the scheme of your wedding and that your pics aren''t overly seasonal. I went to a wedding where the e-pics were in the fall (couple wearing bright red, brown and red leaves all around), but their wedding theme was bright, bold spring - hot pink, orange and pale pink. It looked strange to me, especially since all the surrounding decor was seriously clashing.

A friend of mine displayed her pics and they were lovely - she was married in the fall (colors were pale pink and brown) and her photos she wore a pastel and her DH wore brown. It looked great - they matted the photo in brown as well. For ours, we displayed a B&W photo at the wedding - and I was worried because we had a summer wedding and took our photos in the fall, but DH wore a plain blue button down shirt and charcoal pants (supposedly blue is the color that works best on most people for photos) and I wore black pants, a black cardigan, and a camisole-like shirt underneath the cardigan that was a pretty pink with lace trim (the detail of the lace was really pretty in b&w). Since we went super classic, I think the photos worked despite the big seasonal difference. I also like that we didn''t wear super trendy clothes, because I don''t think our photos will look out of date quickly.
