For my friend's daughter, my son's little buddy. She is just over 2 and has just finished her treatment for a brain tumor. This week she has her first post-chemo MRI. Please send all the dust and prayers you can muster for a clean scan!

Thanks so much!

Super dust headed their way! Hope that scan is squeaky clean.

Sending lots of dust to your friend and her kiddo...I hope that MRI is clear!

Buckets of dust!

What kind of tumour did she have?

Buckets and buckets of dust going to your friend and her daughter. Poor little thing. She will be in my prayers.

Oh, Dreamer - I'm sure I remember your last post on this. Sending tons of dust her way!!

Thank you every one. Pandora I do not know what type of tumor it was. Though I spend a fair amount of time with her mom, that is a detail I have not asked. All I know is the tumor was very large, required surgery to remove, and is not the "best" nor the "worst" type of cancer for a child to have. The baby has made it through intense chemo very very well. I just hope with all my heart that it worked (her mid-treatment MRI was clear). The last 6 months have just been a nightmare for my friend, and god I hope these results are good.

Tons and tons of dust headed your friend's daughter's way!!! :wavey:

Dust to the little girl and her family! I hope all goes well.

Lots of dust and prayers outgoing! Please let us know how it goes.

Dust, dust, dust for a positive report for your son's little friend and her parents! I cannot even imagine what they are going through while waiting.

Dump truck full of dust. I hope everything goes well for her!

Sending tons of dust their way!!!!!

Sending a ton of dust for your friend's daughter! Hope they receive great results!

Loads of dust for the family, DD. How are you planning to celebrate with them when the scan comes back all clear?

HI:

Oh my--lots of dust!

healing vibes her way---Sharon

Did the scan results come in yet Dreamer? More dust and prayers coming their way...

Oh wow! Much dust that all goes well. I hate hearing stories of sick kids, I work with dying adults bc I can't handle sick children. Hugs for hunter, too. It isn't easy for kids to grasp that their little friends aren't well.

The scan came back all clear! :appl:

Thank goodness.

The most critical period is 18 months post-chemo. She will have MRIs every 3 months for that period of time to watch for recurrance.

But for now, this is a huge milestone. I think we will celebrate with a playdate!

Australia has a lot of dust and it is all coming your friends way!! I really hope that scan is nice and clean.

sending lots and lots of dust.

:appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: a playdate sounds like just the thing:-)

YAY!!! GREAT NEWS!!!! :appl:

I know, I cannot even imagine the relief that her mom must be feeling right now. I mean, she is not out of the woods, but I know this was a huge hurdle that was looming. I think there are probably a good number of kids where the chemo just doesn't work and they have an early recurrance, and that cannot be a good sign :blackeye: I am so happy for this good result!

:appl: :appl: :appl: :appl: :appl:

What great news! I'll continue to pray that she doesn't have a recurrence. Now go have a fun playdate!

I know Noel. It is truly heartbreaking.

Thank goodness! Honestly, that would be a parent's nightmare. I hope she is cured.
