So, I **think** we came to a decision on the names. Savannah Katherine and Hunter Grayson. My mind changes every few days it seems.

Beautiful names!!! When are the babies born??? Congrats, very exciting!!! You will make a great papa!

Love those names.

Lnda

Yea! Love them both:)

Don''t change, penn. Love them both!! They feel so southern and classic.

Nice names!

LOVE the names...

My FI has two cousins (brother and sister) named Savannah and Hunter!

You guys should have heard some of the suggestions from my AP chem class. They were too out there for me. I''m old fashioned at heart I suppose.

And in other news, we put in an offer on a house in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. The only disheartening thing is that the same house would probably be maybe half of what it is here. What we''re paying for 4 bedrooms would get you a 6500-7500 sq ft house in Atlanta or Alabama. My hand was shaking as I signed the papers.

Penn,
Those are lovely names. I think you''ll love Franklin Lakes, it''s a beautiful area from what I remember. Had friends there from College.

Penn~ I''m so glad you posted! I''ve been thinking about you lately. I hope all is going well getting ready for the babies!! How exciting!

I love the names! and good luck on the house!

Really lovely names, Penn! Looking forward to the birth of the little twinkies!

So, we''re going to be mortgaged to our eyeballs, but we have a house. This time, I''m getting my red dining room!

CONGRATS!!!! And good for you about the dining room!!!

I love those names! I have always thought Hunter was a great name for a boy/man.
Savannah is unique, so I really love that one. Happy Labor Day!

penn, I LOVE the names!! I think they are perfect!!

And Franklin Lakes is LOVELY. I grew up in Bergen County and my parents are still there (Woodcliff Lake) and I just love the area. Great schools, close to NYC, amazing place to raise a family. The prices of homes and the taxes are insane but I think it's worth it. I hope you guys and the babies love it there. Congratulations!!!

Congrats on the house! And YAY for a red dining room, I''ve always wanted one myself!

It''s probably not going to happen this time, but I''m going to try. There is just something about red in a dining room that I like. I''ve always loved the look of red in a dining room.

Congratulations Penn!! The babies'' names are beautiful. Best wishes on the house too.

You ladies are all so awesome, thanks!

Penn-
OH MY GOD!!! I grew up in Franklin Lakes, and the folks still live there!!! I was shocked when I saw that since it's a fairly small, sleepy town. It's beautiful there, and the people are really fantastic. The schools are great as well. Good luck on the offer (from what I know the market there is a little stale, so you should have a good chance). Let me know when you get up here...I'd love to show you around!

And funny side note, my FI was born in AL and raised in GA (Columbus)...so we know your pricing pains. My in-laws mortgage is like less than 1/4 of our monthly rent.

PS-Love the baby names! So classic and elegant sounding. Also, you get your red dining room!!! (Red's my favorite color if you couldn't tell by my screenname).

I''m in Manhattan...it''s about an hour door to door by train or bus, or about 40 min. w/out traffic by car.

Okay, so there is a possibility that we might not get the house. We''re supposed to sign the contract (actual contract) tomorrow. However, another offer was placed today. There were two things that I''m not exactly thrilled about. The kitchen is a little on the small side and we''re kind of short a bedroom. If we did by some chance have one more child, we would probably need a 5th bedroom. ONLY one more, lol. I want to be able to send them to college.

Another thing is that Franklin Lakes is about 45 minutes from New York. I think we need something a bit closer. So, I''m not sure if we should raise our offer or buy the house I liked in Tenafly.

I hate to be a brat (and clearly I''m biased) but I feel like Franklin Lakes is a little bit of a nicer town than Tenafly. Tenafly is certainly closer and I think both school systems are fairly comparable (with FL a little better, but the higher taxes to boot). Tenafly is a bit bigger, and I think it gives off that feel. Franklin Lakes feels more "home-y" but maybe it''s because I grew up there.

Are we assuming both houses are fairly equal in price/size - but the house in Tenafly has a bigger kitchen, and an extra bedroom? And is there a potential of maybe "upgrading" houses down the line?

Love the names. I *think* "Hunter" was one of my suggestions, wasn''t it?!!

Lot''s of good news! We had a false alarm yesterday so if you ladies want to start placing bets on the day and how much they will weigh, I would start now. I have a feeling they are going to be here by Wednesday.

We sold our house today and we ended up purchasing a house in Tenafly, I think we got outbid on the house in Franklin Lakes, but I''m really happy with the house we got. We''re still technically short a bedroom, but I think that somewhere down the line, I''d like to custom build. I liked Tenafly a little more than everywhere else we looked, plus Nate''s sister and her husband purchased a home in Alpine (and it''s GORGEOUS!).

Got a call from my stepmom, she is preggers. She''s really excited. I know they''ve been trying for a while, and it finally happened. Hopefully, she''ll have a girl. We don''t need anymore boys in the family.

Lastly, I''m getting my MA on May 18th!

Love the names! And yay for baby countdown!

I predict...

Savannah: 4 lbs, 10 oz

Hunter: 5 lbs, 1 oz

(ETA: I tweaked the numbers a bit, but I figure it's okay since I'm the first guesser!)

Penn-congrats on all the happy news! You''re going to love Northern NJ! (Um, Alpine is GORGEOUS btw). It''ll be nice to have the support from family nearby.

Ooh, my guess:

Savannah: 6lbs 2oz
Hunter: 5lbs 14oz

that''s a lot of baby in that belly!

I''m gonna guess that Savannah will be 5 lbs 4 oz and Hunter will be 5 lbs 8 oz

(I''m biased towards 5.5 lbs babies because I was one myself...)

But of course it doesn''t matter as long as they are healthy! I can''t wait to see pictures of both the new babies and the new house
