Wedding Drink/Martini Luge???

I was wondering if anyone knew where to get a reasonable priced mold for a martini luge? I am dying to have one at my wedding, but I live in a town that has absolutely no ice sculpture vendors, and there is no one for literally miles, and a ferry boat ride away! I have access to a restaurant size freezer, so I would like a good size one!

Has anyone had one at their wedding, or planning to? It is my dream to have one, but the only place I saw who has a mold is in Australia, it would cost about $1,000 and it isn''t really that great either. Any help would be so appreciated.

I would have loved to have a martini/margherita luge if I wasn''t doing the vineyard wedding. It''s fun and funky!

The only one thing I was told was to be aware of drunk guys that pour beer etc down the luge...or touch the ice (ew unsanitory!). It''s just something you should think about. I was at a wedding earlier this summer - the groom is a good friend of Mr. Kama and some of Mr. Kama''s old old high school friend that he isn''t all too fond of were invited. These crazy guys spilled an ENTIRE bottle of red on the table, shirt and trousers, broke several beer bottles and glasses and in general, really roughed up the place. The girl he was marrying is this absolute uptight bitch, so while a part of me felt bad for her, another part of me laughed till it hurt! I can only imagine the mess if she had a luge! (sorry, I went a little tangential there!!)

Can''t help you with the mold, but have you looked for ice vendors as opposed to ice sculpturists. In college we used to get ice luges from a company that supplied blocks of ice. If I recall, they were less than $100 for a fairly large luge. Also, if you''re having a caterer, perhaps they can arrange something? Our venue/caterer had that as an option. Good luck.
