Kitty, what about these? I wasn''t sure what style of dress you''re looking for, but the following dresses are similar in shape and fluidity as #1, since it seems to be the crowd favorite (PS, mom and FI), but with a bit more omph. I don''t know the prices for the Mori Lee dresses, but many of their dresses are within your price range.

Do a search for style #1302 - $1,550

If you wanted, maybe this could be altered to become a strapless dress

With no straps and in white?

this one, but I don''t know much about Tara Keely, but I think prices range from $1,500 and up so I''m not sure what the chances are that this one dress is at the low end of that range

Thanks so much for finding these awesome dresses! I especially like the Tara Keely and the Maggie Sottero. I just have to see now if any stores in my area might have either of these dresses to try on. I definitely have nothing against straps--I''ve just been trying on tons of strapless dresses because that is what the stores have.

One thing I''m a little concerned about is that bridal gown prices for a bunch of designers (including Watters and Maggie Sottero) are supposedly going up on Monday, Sep. 1. I feel like I should just decide if I want the Watters dress or not so I don''t have to pay an additional 10% for it. I think this could be just pressure to buy from the bridal shops, but I have heard this information from more than one store, so I''m inclined to believe it. I wish I knew what to do...

I love Dress #1! It looks great on you, so smooth and elegant!

i love the flow of dress 1 on you..classy and elegant. #2 is beautiful, but seems heavy on you compared to the flow of #1

Any more input/suggestions, fellow brides? I think I''m pretty close to ordering Dress 1, but I''m still not totally sure. Seems like finding the husband is easier than finding the dress

You're welcome Kitty

Can you maybe do a dress blitz this weekend? I think if you love #1 then that's the dress for you, but it didin't seem to me that you were convinced. In my opinion it's better to pay the extra 10% for a dress that you're 100% sure of than to save the money and not be completely satisfied with your decision. But, you're right, it would suck to pay more for a dress you already have your eyes on. Maybe you need to try on more dresses to know #1 is THE ONE? I would just hate to see you rushed into making a decision that didn't feel right just to save 10%, you know? Let us know if there's anything we can do to help.

Hey I dont think I remember what happened with the dress situation?!?!? Did u ever go try that other one?? I didnt know if u had and liked it or what... but I saw it on here that someone else jsut posted! at the bottom of the page... http://www.sabrinaann.com/423333.html

I was totally for #1 until I read that your ceremony was at 3:00. I think it's a little too evening, maybe? I say keep looking, at least for a little while.

ETA: I just noticed the date. I'm so sorry to have chimed in at this late date. I hope you've found a dress you love!
