Thanks so much for finding these awesome dresses! I especially like the Tara Keely and the Maggie Sottero. I just have to see now if any stores in my area might have either of these dresses to try on. I definitely have nothing against straps--I''ve just been trying on tons of strapless dresses because that is what the stores have.Date: 8/29/2008 1:13:43 AM

Kitty, what about these? I wasn''t sure what style of dress you''re looking for, but the following dresses are similar in shape and fluidity as #1, since it seems to be the crowd favorite (PS, mom and FI), but with a bit more omph. I don''t know the prices for the Mori Lee dresses, but many of their dresses are within your price range.
Do a search for style #1302 - $1,550

If you wanted, maybe this could be altered to become a strapless dress

With no straps and in white?

this one, but I don''t know much about Tara Keely, but I think prices range from $1,500 and up so I''m not sure what the chances are that this one dress is at the low end of that range![]()

One thing I'm a little concerned about is that bridal gown prices for a bunch of designers (including Watters and Maggie Sottero) are supposedly going up on Monday, Sep. 1. I feel like I should just decide if I want the Watters dress or not so I don't have to pay an additional 10% for it. I think this could be just pressure to buy from the bridal shops, but I have heard this information from more than one store, so I'm inclined to believe it. I wish I knew what to do...![]()
