Dress Fitting

I had my second dress fitting today! I went in a bit frustrated as the seamstress cancelled on me twice (last week she had a bride with an emergency and yesterday her partner had a personal medical issue) so I walked in not so happy...and then I put on my dress and all was right with the world! She feared extensive bead reworking among other things, but the dress is fitting so well she has a lot less work than she expected to.

And then she worked on the bustle. I told her she could do whatever she''d like and she played around with the lace overlay for quite some time and created a beautiful two layer bustle (I don''t know if it''s French or traditional), and it is absolutely phenomenal. I didn''t realize how much I love my dress until today.

I''m so thrilled and just had to share.

I don''t have pictures...isn''t that sad! I didn''t even thing to bring my camera. I''ll have to next time. Thanks for the kind words albicocca, I am really excited to wear it, but also just really enjoyed this fun stage of our relationship.

hey there date twin. I brought my camera to my first two fittings, but didnt ask her to take pics. I am bringing it to the final fitting on monday and I hope I love it as much as you love yours. It sounds perfect!

That''s good news, weren''t you expecting it to be really pricy to alter your dress? I''m glad you''re loving it!

Selkie: It is going to be pricey (around $500 which is how much I paid for the dress) but now that I''m seeing it come together I just don''t care.

msflutter: I had my camera phone with me, but I just didn''t even think of it. I go back on July 21st, I''ll remember it then. I''m sure you will love it as much as I do mine...I regret not taking a bit of time with my hair and make up before going though, I looked like a boy today and it didn''t match the dress at all!

Gosh that''s a great feeling! I remember going to my final fitting and just feeling *giddy* b/c it was exactly what I wanted and everything was all coming together.
