My girlfriend Kristen and I went to Navy Pier with her parents to look around at the shops and whatnot.
There was a caricature stand so I asked Kristen if she wanted
to get a caricature done of the two of us. She said sure and
her parents went off to look at some other shops while the
guy drew our caricature. He told us he was done and asked if
we were ready to see the picture. Since it wasn''t something
we really had to prepare much for we said we were ready. When
he turned the picture around it was a full color drawing of
me proposing to her. Naturally, this is when Kristen
said, "Right now?" I thought she would have figured it out
with the drawing and with me being on my knee but I was
hoping she would be suprised. I asked her to marry me and she
said, "Yes!" Well, it wasn''t just a
''Yes''. There was a lot of shreiking involved but I did hear
a ''Yes'' so that was good enough for me. I had contacted the
artist beforehand and sent him pictures of Kristen, the ring,
and I.
She knew the proposal was coming but I was very glad to suprise her with the exact time of the proposal.
