Ok pretty close now! Narrowed it down to two diamonds I like - would love people's opinions on which is better, but specifically which CUT is better.

On is JA True Hearts

Other is WF ACA
https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-3649498.htm

I know they're a bit different in size, and a little different in price. But I'm all about the cut. From what I can see (untrained) in the ASET, the JA looks slightly better (a little less leakage).

After cut, interested in whether you think the extra size is worth the extra $$$.

Finally - either would go in a white gold setting, probably with tiny pave diamonds which are better color (F/G) than the main diamond. Does this matter? I just want no noticeable color to a careful (but not expert) observer... I understand that they'll look a fraction yellow if compared to a better color diamond...

Thanks so much!

The pictures are quite tinted ... Would not expect to see as much within 6mm.

Pave is an array of bright dots of imperceptible colour throughout the usual range. I'd need to see them piled up to tell which is what, all else equal (it never is ! - digressing here).

If you are worried about the I in the main stones, why not 'medium' fluorescence ? [EDIT: Not many of these, are there !... just one F & a few J ... ]

Thanks - what do you mean by tinted? The color?

Yes.

I do mean that the pictures are 'tinted' much more than I expect of diamonds of that size & grade.

Truth be told, I am not sure it is possible to show the subtle white-s of D-J diamond color grades in photography or video online - the slight adjustments between screens etc. would swamp reality. On my tablet, I am getting a sepia tone [Top Light Brown].
