Hey guys. I posted a while ago looking for advice on e-rings. I received more help than I could ever have imagined and I think i finally narrowed it down to the diamond and the setting that I want. Let me know what you guys think about this ACA diamond from WF that has yet to be put up on their website. I am going to try and do this via attachment of files.. we''ll see how it goes! haha

The sales rep from WF said that there was a tiny cavity that was not at the surface of the diamond(VS2). I didn't see anything from the picture, and the file size is to big to upload the AGS Lab report.

THE AGS LAB REPORT (short edition)

Cut grade: AGS Ideal (0)
Light performance, polish, and symmetry: AGS Ideal (0)

Color grade(E)

Clarity: VS2

Carat: .770

Let me know what you guys think, or if there's something i should talk to the rep about before purchasing?

OH! I want to put it in the Legato Sleek Setting:

Another question/topic of concern.

I was told this diamond just came in, and it is classified as their ACA diamond. I could save $350 by not having it inscribed and certified as ACA by WF.

Or is it worth the $350 to have the AGS number, ACA, and ACA certificate inscribed on the girdle?

The diamond still comes with the AGS Lab certificate, just not inscribed.

Thanks :)

Well, the diamond looks great!!!

I wouldn''t worry about the cavity with a VS2 grade, but you can always ask. If it were something serious, I would think the clarity grade would be much lower.

As far as the ACA inscription, check with WF about what that might mean in the future. I can''t recall if the ACA''s have different policies for trade-in, upgrade and buyback or not. If there is no difference or if WF will honor those policies even if the diamond is not engraved, I personally wouldn''t spend the extra. If it might make a difference in a future transaction, it may well be worth it.

They said they will treat it as one of their ACA diamonds forever. The sale rep said it will not have any affect on their policies (upgrading, cleaning, repair..)

I thought I might need it for identification purposes? Or can this done through a specialist comparing the AGS report to the diamond itself

Thanks for your help jet ;)

Its a beautiful diamond!

Looks good.

thanks guys! and since its from White Flash i feel pretty comfortable about buying a diamond that''s not inscribed. They seem to be a really reputable company with excellent policies to making you feel assured about the diamond. I will have to post pictures when I get the ring for everyone to see; and as a thank you for helping me in my e-ring selection process :D

Good luck. :)

Yes it can. Someone appraising or looking at the diamond will be able to match it with the AGS report through a combination of factors, such as weight, dimensions and the inclusion map.

You are very welcome and we are looking forward to pics.

Ditto. And the fact that it has a rather recognizable/distinct "birthmark" (cavity), that will make that process fairly easy. Some have inscribing done for peace of mind/identification, but in this case, I would say you''re fine without it.

It''s an absolutely gorgeous diamond, and in that setting? Be still my heart!
