Hi Ellen - thank you for your reply. Unfortuantely, an IS or ASET is not possible. Basically I was hoping someone could give it a spin in diamcalc, or one of the other folks can give their opinion on the slight variations between the two and which one has the better cut (in theory anyway) . Both stones cuts are within spec. I''m just wondering which one has the slight edge over the other based soley on the numbers.Date: 6/26/2007 4:17:48 PM

Hi clueless,
Is there any way you could get an IS image, or better yet, an ASET?
True, however there are rare exceptions to the rule from time to time. Impossible to know/tell with this data but like you, when I see a crown height less than 10% it generally doesn''t get me excited.Date: 6/26/2007 9:14:29 PM

that 8% crown height can''t be doing anything good for #2
Considering all the factors that make up the AGS cut grade its really impossible to tell. The numbers can suggest one cut grade but the symmetry could really alter it in another direction and also impact light return causing a different grade. A 3 dimensional scan of the stone must be acquired and then someone with AGS proprietary PGS software could give a more solid opinion.Date: 6/26/2007 9:50:13 PM

thanks belle. I''m saddened because I''m reading through all the old postings, and I''m sure RocDoc would have chimed in about the cut, as princess seemed to be a particular area of interest to him (from what I can gather).
Does anyone have any opinion on where the cut of the princess with the 11.5 Crown would fall on the AGS cut scale?
