I have been searching for the perfect diamond for about 2-3 months now and I think I may have found it. I would just like to reenforce the fact the experts here think the same. I have listed both below and please let me know any opinions, input, and any comments as everything has been extremely helpful since I have been trolling these boards. Thanks! I am leaning towards the GOG diamond. Both venders have the Vatche setting the diamond will be in. The WF diamond is .6MM larger on dimensions and .5CT heavier. It is also about $650 more. Looking at the ASET on the WF I am worried there is a little to much green which is why I was curious what others had to say. Thanks in advance everyone, i really appreciate it

http://www.goodoldgold.com/diamond/9417/ USD $3825 (Will depth of 78.42% affect anything??)

http://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/princess-cut-loose-diamond-2705502.htm USD $4525 after discount

I think both of these would be lovely diamonds.

Tough call...I love solasfaras but with the size difference I would probably go with the other stone. (In your measurements
I think you meant .05 carat and .06 mm).

Another thing to consider is the WF is not square. That would really bother some people. Not sure about your GF. It
wouldn't bother me as long as it was set the way I wanted it. I think the aset for the WF is fine.

Anyway, for me, it would be the larger WF stone.

I agree with Marcy that both stones are lovely - either would be a great choice. But looking at them both, personally I would be inclined to go with the GOG stone as I like the higher crown/smaller table, the Excellent in Symmetry, and the square shape.

I like GOG's stone. The table is smaller, higher crown %, squarer, it's a solasferas...

The WF one is nice, but the slightly rectangular shape kinda bugs me.

Good luck, man! You chose two great stones.

did you see this radiant cut faceted like a princess cut? very nice and faces up larger, not totally square though

The only thing about the 78% depth is that it will face up smaller because it is so deep, but SolasFeras are beautiful diamonds.

That stone is stunning! Also, I'd feel more comfortable setting a square stone if it had cut corners, for safety reasons.

I would hands down pick the one Ariel found. It looks ....more modern and interesting.

Solasfera

have you seen the videos comparing solasfera to regular princess cuts? I would much rather have a slightly smaller stone that blows the others away!!!

I would go with the Solasfera for the smaller table and higher crown. I also find that I prefer the red x patterns in the ASET images for princess cuts.

I have decided on the GOG diamond. It is a little smaller than I originally wanted but the optics just seem unbeatable for my budget, I am excited about it and I think its going to look great in the Vatche setting chosen for it. I should get it in about 3 weeks and be back from the middle east (hopefully for good) I will post some pics once it arrives. Thanks everyone for all the suggestions and input, this website has helped tremendously and I am very glad I stumbled upon it.
