double halo setting not finished in 2 month. is it normal?

hey PSers! i sent in my stone for a double halo setting around april 10 (dont remember the exact date by should be close). around may 19 i saw the actual cast. havent heard of any progress since then. i emailed twice but were told it is set both times. i dont want to urge them but i am starting to loose patience... it is the first time ever i did custom ring. so could any of you tell me if this is normal waiting time? thanks a lot!

Have you requested pics on the progress of the ring? With custom rings it's not uncommon for them to provide you pics through various stages.

Thank you Solgen! i havent requested anything yet except for the pics they sent me. i got some CAD pics and a set of pics of the cast and that's it so far. thank you for the remind and i will email them!

Hi-almost every custom ring that I have ever had made, took much longer then their estimate (even when done by PS sponsored vendors)....also, most vendors I have worked with, told me about progress stages, but did not share progress photos. Are you supposed to get a wax?

I think 8 weeks (after CAD or final design is approved) and sometimes even more is very typical . Just check with your ring maker every couple of weeks after 6 weeks and ask for a friendly progress check. Many do not provide pics of the piece in progress.

I would consider 2 months to be exceptionally long, but having said that, what's "normal" really depends on the vendor. I would require pictures and/or regular communication from the vendor throughout the entire process.
