I really want a 1 carat RB but the most I can afford is around $6000 american and I can''t find anything that I would want to buy so I have even thought about going down in size since I want a halo setting.
I have also gone to a wholesaller in Toronto (I am Canadian) and I can get a 1.01 VS1 F colour Ideal Canadian diamond for $7995 Canadian but other than those specs thats the only info I can get on it right now.

Even if I went with an American company for the diamond the setting I love is at this company and I am not sure if they would mount a diamond that isnt theirs. But they do custom work and are going to turn my old rings into a necklace which I didn''t buy the diamonds there.

I was wondering if anyone could help me find a diamond in my price range? Or if you have any ideas on what I should do?

Hi corgan,

The first thing I''d do is ask the jeweler if they''ll set another stone.

Then go from there. If they will, buy online and you''re done. If they won''t, this company does custom work, you can do a search on here for Whiteflash to see some of it.

Here''s a couple of their stones, which if eyeclean, would be great. They have others, this just gives you an idea.

I have looked at whiteflash but I am unsure of the difference between their above cut and their excellent cut, Is there really that big of a difference?

As long as the stones are ideal cut, you''re fine. WhiteFlash has some beautiful stones in their expert selection! I added a couple to my post above.

In most cases, no. Once in a while there''s one I wouldn''t consider, but they are rare.
