I love it!

I want to do this! But only if they are clean.

That is very very different than the herd of cows I helped milk.
Many of them would just as soon trample you than let you hug them.
They also have a nasty bite and a mean kick and some of them are always looking for a chance to apply both.
A clean cow is a contradiction in terms they are very dirty animals.
Then there are the bulls which shockingly some are more tame than the cows but others would rather kill ya than look at ya.
Some are both they have one person they like that can do anything with them and anyone else they want to kill.

Never ever ever walk into a field of cows if you dont know what your doing and have permission.
If the cows dont hurt you the owner might.
Farm dogs dont like strangers who mess with the cows either.
And that donkey with the herd in some areas?
They will kill you if you mess with the cows,

Oh Karl, you silly boy ... of course cows are skittish around you.
They know you have a gun.

I love cows.

Not my lyrics. But I do like cows. Not to eat them.

Song by Johnny Socko.

I like cows
But not to eat them
I like cows
I like to greet them
Cows are fun
You shouldn't put 'em on a hamburger bun
Or on the grill of your car
Or on the grill in your backyard
I like cows.
I like cows
They don't have feathers
I like cows
But not their leathers
Cows say moo
You shouldn't turn them into paste or glue
Or put them on your dining room chair
Or cook them up 'till they're medium rare
I like cows.
I like cows
They're really neat
You shouldn't turn them into Spam or treats
Or put them into little tin cans
I'm a bonefied bovine fan
I like cows
I like cows
Hahahahaha
I like cows
Hahahahahaha
I like cows
I like them
I like cows
I like them
I like cows
I LIKE THEM
I LIKE COWS
I LIKE THOSE
Cows!

Some years ago I was visiting Maui, the best place on earth.

Anyway, we were upcountry which is very pastoral, with farms, horses, etc.
We were driving down this winding picturesque road, and DH wanted to get out and take some photos.
Across the road was a herd of cows along a wooden fence.
I wanted to see them closer, so I walked up to the fence and they freaked out and all ran away! I was very disappointed!

Some of my earliest memories are of cows. I'd get up with my mom at 5 a.m. and go down to the barn to feed the calves. Climb the ladder up to the hayloft and throw down hay for them. Petted them, named them, ran around the fields by them, helped my mom corral them and bring them back to pasture when they broke through the fence. My experiences were all very positive.

Cows are social animals. They will choose and keep a best friend for life. They can live to be 30 or so years old. If a herd decides they don't like one member, they will shun it like mean girls. And yeah, they have a healthy fear of humans. I would as well if I was pierced, branded, poked, prodded, kept to stay in one place, and had my babies ripped away from me. You should hear my old neighborhood when it's time to take the calves from their mamas. Guttural screaming from the mothers for days. It's awful how they are treated. Don't let "free-range" "grass-fed" fool you into thinking they have some wonderful life before they're slaughtered. But no farmer will ever tell you that; they'll make the animals out to be big and stupid and threatening so you feel ok about eating them because there is a LOT of money in cattle.

Then there was that time one of the neighbors shot and killed my dog because she got into his field and was running the cows around. "Running the meat off them." Just another arrogant human being thinking his life is more important than the rest of the circle of life.

They are fascinated by children. I can attest to this because my brother and I used to climb the fence to get into a certain pasture where there were wild morel mushrooms every spring and we had to get past the herd first. We'd run at them and they'd run from us. Then we'd retreat a bit and they'd all run back at us. And so forth until my bro and I gained ground and got where we needed to go. It was all a big game and the cows somehow understood that, I think because we were smaller in stature and obviously not there to hurt them.

That has to be one of the best childhood anecdotes I've ever heard.

Cows of Walmart?

I like his energy and dedication to his job. The moo-sic is catchy too.
