Well I know I still have 2 months + to kill before I allow myself to propose, however, to control my excitement, I am distracting myself by looking at different wedding bands in my possible price rand and also in hers.

I haven''t had a chance to run into Tiffs to look it over, however, I have been on the website.

I am looking at this ring for myself:

It isn''t the same as what I have looked at in the past. Doesn''t have the milgrain, so I guess they redesigned it.
What I can''t determine for certain though is the dimensions. Is the 6 mm for men and the 3 mm for women or can men wear the 3mm. I cannot rap my head around what size a 3mm ring is.

As for her wedding band, I am looking at a couple of tiffany rings: The channel set legacy ring, the half circle channel set diamond and saphire ring, half circle channel set, the novo wedding band, and a few others. It will largely be up to her, but I am already scouting what I can afford. I just figure if I got the e-ring at Tiffs, I should get the wedding band there. The main question is the first one though, about 3mm vs. 6mm.

I think you can wear whatever you like. I have seen men with skinnier bands although I''m not sure if I like them. Depends a bit on what shape your fingers and hands are.

At a first pass I guess the 6mm is meant for a man and the 3mm for a woman. But again, just depends on what looks good!

All her wedding band options sound yumma-licious! You know I searched quite a bit for pics of your ring and found one slightly blurry shot from a distance. Were there any more? There should be if there aren''t! I love the style you chose!

p.s. I know this isn't a real help cos there's no reference point but maybe you can imagine a bit better from the pic.

Honestly, you have to try them on and see how they look on your finger and how comfortable or not they are for you. My husband (hee! still getting use to saying that!) has larger hands (hey! no jokes Ellen!), and he preferred a 6mm width. But I thought at first he''d prefer a thinner band since he doesn''t usually wear rings. Turns out the ring he chose is really comfy for him. It''s all about your personal comfort level I think. Enjoy the shopping process!

If you got her the classic Tiff ring, then it''s probably close to 3mm, so you can get an idea of the width. My hubby wears a 6mm band, I don''t think I like the skinnier ones on men.

My step-dad wears an 8mm band, but he also has a size 13.5 finger!

A 3mm band is way too thin for a man. I think the Novo or Legacy bands would be gorgeous for her, though! Those are around 2mm or so. I agree that if her e-ring is from Tiffany, the wedding band should be as well.

my hubby has a 5mm band and loves it. I think the 6 mm band would be a very nice side for man. as for her band, i agree the wedding band should come from tiff''s since her ring is from there. any of the bands you listed are gorgeous. what e-ring setting did you get her again?

well, obviously it will be up to her, but i personally would get the matching half channel set wedding band. i'm not a fan of beadset rings like the legacy or novo paired next to channel set stones, but that's just me. once she get's the ring you guys can have some fun going and trying them all on....
