I have a wonderful little yorkie dog that is about 7 years old. I''ve always heard about yorkies having a difficult time being house broken and sure enough, my dog would much rather go to the bathroom on her puppypad rather then go outside when it''s raining. No scolding will work and we''ve realized to keep her away from the carpeting and on title when we aren''t home.
In any case, over the past few months my BF and I started noticing that she will have accidents while sleeping on the couch. She NEVER would go on the couch and she doesn''t even wake up when she goes. The first time she did it we scolded her... the second time we started getting worried... and now she did it twice in one night I think it may be a serious problem.
After many times washing my dog and my couch cushions now I just mostly worried that their might be something seriously wrong with her. Has anyone ever dealt with something similar? Maybe a urinary track infection? Can dogs get that?
Any help that you could give me would be great. I plan on taking her to the vet, but I wanted to see if any of you had any advice.
Thanks for your help and in case you wanted to see the little critter I''m talking about... Here is "Bubbles" (the big monster is Brooklyn) I love them so!
