Appreciate the expert advice here.. I have been looking at a lot of preowned jewellery and wanted to hear your opinion if this stone has potential. It is an E, VS1 princess cut and the price is around $1600-$1800. I plan to get an independant appraisal done before buying, but wanted to see if I am spending the appraisal money on a potentailly good stone..

According to a quick search on JA, E/VS1s are running $2.3ish to $2.8ish.

How does the stone look? Is it bright with a nice faceting pattern? Have you looked at it under different lighting conditions?
You wouldnt happen to have any pics or an aset image you could post would you?

cut is also a big factor. From the stats you listed, we dont really know anything about cut- as GIA doesnt grade princess cut stones for their "cut" grade.

Any images or ASET available?

I have asked for actual diamond pictures. I highly doubt that the seller has ASET images, but doesnt hurt to ask :)

When buying a princess cut diamond images are one way of determing cut quality- or buying an AGS0 stone. AGS does grade the cut quality of princess cuts and they are strict.
