I am looking for a stone that will emphasize quality over size. I am on a budget ($3000 for the rock) and I found this one which looks good. I based my specs on Raymonds thread (https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/looking-for-validation.81540/)

It comes from a reputable online dealer whom I found out about on this site. It has a GIA report.

Shape: Round
Carat weight: 0.72
Cut: Ideal
Color: G
Clarity: VS2
Certificate: GIA

Depth: 60.7%
Table: 57.0%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Thin to medium
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 5.82*5.85*3.54

Would it help if I posted the GIA report or any important info from it?

PS - price for above is $2600+/-

TIA!

Welcome and yes please give us the pavilion and crown angles

Also, you can plug the numbers into this tool http://www.pricescope.com/cutadviser.asp to weed out bad performing stones.

GIA cut is very good but this came up in a search of IDEAL cut diamonds at jamesallen.

Crown specs:
14.5%
34.0 deg

Pav specs:
43.5%
41.2 deg

Like I said earlier, I get either a 1.6 or a 2.9.

This diamond has a lot of potential, but because of the pavillion angle I would ask for an idealscope pic first.

If eyeclean I''d go for the WF unless as Ellen says the idealscope or Aset of the first proves to be just as good.
