Thank you so much.

That''s like asking if a round, 61 depth, 57 table is good.

It''s impossible to tell.

Welcome Scott! No red flags from what you've posted there, but the information is limited. Have you seen the diamond in person?

i'm guessing JulieN will want to see an idealscope image??

Welcome, Scott!

You'll find that some vendors provide more information than others. Part of this is because they can provide more information if they actually own the stone and have it in-house. For example, if you search on the Good Old Gold site and click on in-house, you'll pull up stones that they have in the store. Each stone will have photos and many other things that have been done to verify the stone's brightness, cut, etc.

Other vendors will only have a paper inventory, and they call in stones that people request. You'll see the least amount of information on those stones. However, if they have a certificate, look for GIA excellent cut or AGS0 (ideal cut).

ETA: Ooops, I'm not sure about princess cuts. But vendors like GOG will have some excellent ones in stock and can call in others that would meet your specifications.

as sundial mentioned, there are no red flags and it could be very nice. we can''t really judge anything more from what you have here but if you have seen it and loved it, i''m sure it''s a winner!

Sorry about the limited information. It is from Union Diamond and that is all the info they give. I think i will look at Goodoldgold since they provide more info, plus i think they are located on long island, so I could actually get down there to look at it before I purchase. I am in the market for a platinum ring (not too thin of a band) with side stones, and a princess cut diamond. She likes round diamonds in the setting with the princess as the center. She is a tiny women 4''11'''' and her ring size is 4. My budget is tiny $3500 so that is why I am thinking of buying online since it seems you can get more bang for you buck. IT seems that Good old gold is a reputable vendor from what i''ve read. Thanks for all your feedback.

Scott, you can''t go wrong by going to Goodoldgold. They will be very helpful and find you a great stone.

GOG is great, and I''ve also heard WhiteFlash has some great Princess as well. They are also very reputable. Good luck!
