Does this bother anyone?

Hey all. I am able to see this diamond in person tomorrow and was curious if I should be concerned about the arrows being a little funky or if we think this is a function of a bad picture.


It's an 1.48 H Si2, with all twinning wisps. Hoping for eye clean...but we will know tomorrow! Recognize it's a tad deep (62.4) and measurements are a tad small for a 1.48 (









7.26-7.30x4.54mm), but I was in the market for a ~1.40 anyhow and the price seems right.

To be honest I dont think you will be able to see that in real life. IMO, If you are ok with all the other stuff going on in that
stone then I dont think the base of the arrow problem should bother you.

Do you know what the crown and pavilion angles are on it? Have you checked it all out?

Looks like 35.0 and 40.8 respectively.

When you say the other stuff going on, are you referring to the twinning wisps visible in the image? I'm hopeful that it may be eye clean. I'm hoping that my untrained eye will be able to distinguish whether the wisps are taking away from the brilliance when I see it tomorrow.

Were there other concerns had with the diamond? If so, please share!

I agree with tyty333, the precision of the arrows is not the determining factor for light performance in this stone. The clarity is likely to have be a much bigger impact.

Bear in mind that a diamond can be eye-clean and have compromised light performance due to clarity features. Twinning wisps and clouds can be culprits, especially in Si2 grade.

If possible, when you look at it in real life, compare it to a similar diamond in a VS+ clarity to see if it has transparency issues. And/or consult a knowledgeable expert.
