Hello PSers,

Does Tacori normally charge additional fee for setting a diamond that was not purchased from them, but from a 3rd party? The Tacori Gold Partner store where I bought a Tacori setting is asking for $250 to set a 3rd party stone. Seems a bit high.

Is a Tacori partner store even supposed to set the diamond themselves? I thought the stone was supposed to be sent to Tacori and be set by Tacori. Instead, they will just send the dimensions and then set it once the store receives the custom setting from Tacori. Will this void the warranty or is it OK since the store is a Tacori Gold Partner?

Thanks!

No, Tacori does not sell diamonds. You need to speak to your jeweler and tell them under no circumstances do you want a sample ring they have in stock. You want your diamond sent to Tacori so they can make the setting to fit your diamond and in the correct ring size. Don't do what they are suggesting. You want the diamond sent to Tacori and the ring set by Tacori. And you want the Tacori warranty paperwork. Tacori does not charge a setting fee to my knowledge. You can actualy use another Tacori dealer if they are difficult.
