hi all,

I am looking for a warm pastel yellow diamond from t-z color range diamond. Do they cost lesser in general? But i cant seem to find it online. Why? Thanks.

Because most of the rough in these color range can, with some skill cutting into radiant shape, easily become a light yellow colored stone, selling for more.

Often the price tag is lower, this type of stone it might be best to contact a vendor directly, try Jon at www.goodoldgold.com and Wink at www.highperformancediamonds.com

Depending on what you want, there might be an Infinity in the pipeline if you want a round or Princess, Jon might know of either a round or fancy shape in these colour grades. These aren't usually as popular as the lower colours so mainly near colourless/ colourless listed, best to ask a vendor to source for you. If the diamond is very tinted, then usually the utmost effort will be made to cut as a fancy colour result, a radiant holds colour well and this is the reason you see so many radiants as fancy colours, then of course the price will increase if graded a fancy colour.

What exactly are you looking for Moon for shape?

that''s v interesting stone cold. I think so too, somehow radiant cuts r offen used in colored diamonds, is this cut good at keeping colors?

Thanks lorelei, i will to contact them but i was wondering how much will these cost as compared to same carat weights near colorless diamonds.

I tried excel diamonds, they only had radiant cuts, any other veondors?

Radiants trap colour well so this is the reason why you see so many fancy colours in this shape, remember JLo's fancy pink radiant from Harry Winston? Many fancy colours are cut into radiants for this reason, they show colour very well.

Pricing, can't really say as there can be so many variables, all you can do is to get some specific examples from vendors and compare that way.

You could try David at www.diamondsbylauren.com as he often has these colours in stock also-

www.jewelsbyericagrace.com

Really many of the vendors might be able to source you something if you tell them exactly what you are looking for.

Also try Mark at www.engagementringsdirect.com

What are the sizes you are looking for? Have you tried searching above using the pricescope your diamond search all function? Seems like USAcerted carries quite a number of them. Especially if you search for stones graded by other labs.

As already mentioned, there are several online vendors who carry beautiful diamonds in the range you seek. I''ve seen many gorgeous "warm pastel yellow" stones just like what you are looking for, I own several myself, and they can make exquisite pieces of jewelry.

I''m not a pro, however I think I can give you an idea as far as the pricing goes, please PSers, feel free to correct me if I''m off base. There are many variables, however, given similar parameters, the S-Ts should be priced relatively lower per carat than U-Vs, and the price should increase as you go down the alphabet and beyond into the fancy colors. And, as you ascend the other way up the alphabet toward D, from the Q-R range, the price will rise, given similar characteristics other than color. In other words, Q-R, S-T are about at the bottom of the pricing curve, if there is such a thing. Of course, this is a VERY general statement and can not include all the pricing variables, but it gives you an idea of what you may expect to find when comparing stones.

I hope you find your dream diamond... what are your plans for the stone once you have it?
