I''m looking for a new setting. Can you tell me if, generally, Ritani or Tacori has a higher quality?

Thanks.

for a time, we were hearing lots of quality control issues with Tacori. it''s been a while though and no new reports so things might have gotten better. Ritani has wonderful workmanship and I''ve not heard of any quality issues with them. Just make sure whichever you choose you go with a vendor who would go to bat for you if there would be any problems.

you can search both names and there will be past threads on them.

Ditto. I think Ritani settings are cast and Tacori are handmade. So consistent perfection may be more common in the Ritani, yet they are not handmade. And Tacori does seem to have some problems with losing tiny stones, etc.

I have heard of issues with the smaller stones coming loose on the Tacori settings. In fact, one of the chain stores near me will not carry or order a tacori setting for you because of this issue. the jeweler offers to replace lost stone on setting they sell, so I guess it was no longer cost effective for them to sell tacori settings.
