Does poor quality= poor diamond???

First, I want to apologize for all of my questions. I am so lost when it comes to this stuff. I have come up with a ring that I think is beautiful, except for the fact that the clarity is so poor. Can the rest of the rings specifications be enough to overcome the poor clarity? Would it help if the ring does not have any inclusions that are visible to the naked eye? I''m sure posters w/ more knowledge of Princess cuts than I will chime in, but I just wanted to assure you that in most cases, an eye-clean Si1 can present a great value....I wouldn''t classify SI1 as "poor" clarity, and certainly not poor QUALITY--I''d need to know MUCH more about the CUT (the most important C) before making that determination.

SI1 is NOT a poor clarity at all.

As for the diamond itself, don''t know too much about princesses but hopefully someone can chime in. What makes a diamond SPARKLE is the CUT QUALITY...as long as the item is eye-clean then IMO clarity is not a big deal...cut is what makes it shine and gets it noticed.

I don''t think SI1= poor quality. Lots of PSers have beautiful SI1s. Have you seen the diamond? Is it eye clean?

There is NOTHING revealed in the GIA report that would indicate this diamond is "Poor". The problem is that GIA reports NEVER reveal enough to be more than suspicious of a potentially "poor" stone. This diamond may look great, in between or not good. The numbers, color, clarity, polish and symmetry don''t imply it is a poor diamond, but you must examine it carefully to know if it will be a truly good one for you and your taste.

One of the new cut princess cuts with the new AGS 0 grade will definitely look super to nearly anyone. Enough is described and calculated that the search becomes much easier for consumers. Cutters who are going after this market are meticulous people working on the very frontier of modern diamond cutting.

I think this sort of advice will help you make a better choice overall. THe stone you have posted may be an okay stone and far from poor, but it is very likely not equivalent to the most current of top cut princess stones.
