I''ve been to their site (niwaka.com) and there doesn''t seem to be any sort of electronic ordering system implemented. Must you go to their store front in soho to purchase a piece? Considering it takes 5 weeks for their work shop in Japan to make your ring and ship it back to the US, I just couldn''t imagine making the trip twice to buy and then pick up the ring! (not from NY).

Also, to be clear, the prices listed for engagement rings are for both the setting and the center stone correct? I''m pretty sure it is, but I just wanted to be certain. I''ve sent an email to them w/ these questions but they have yet to respond. If I do get a response I''ll be sure to post it if anyone else is interested.

you don''t have to go to NYC to order. I did it over the phone. When your order is finished, they ship it from Japan to NYC and then from NYC to your residence. Which ring are you looking at?

Thank you so very much.

I love the the Ume (plum blossom) ring. The maple/kaede ring is also quite lovely.

I received a reply and if anyone is wondering the prices listed on the site do include the center stone but I believe it''s the minimum cost. Obviously if you chose a larger/higher quality stone it will cost more.

Also, including a .02 ct pink is going to cost about $250 at this time with an additional $60 for setting cost.

I just ordered my wedding band from niwaka! I can''t tell you about te prices for the engagement rings because we didn''t ask and I wasn''t looking but I do know that they will ship to you and you don''t hav eto go to the store. The sales pepole are VERY nice and i''ve only good things about their quality and customer service (my friend also has niwaka wedding rings).

bunniesoup is right about the pink diamond. the blue diamond is 70 plus the 60 setting fee. (just to note though the stones are heat treated. if you get a regular diamond it is 50 plus the 60 setting fee) Engraving is free. Also they said that we will get a two year warrenty with the rings if it needs resizing or repariing...they will do it for free within the two years. most settings seem to able to be resized within 2 sizes but it depends on the design. I can''t wait to get my ring!!

good luck!
