Does GOG only sell branded settings?

I''m in the first stages of putting together a ring and found a couple of diamonds I like on GOG''s website. However, I noticed they didn''t have their own line of settings(like Whiteflash for example). I''m planning on spending $5800-6000 on the diamond and around $1100 for the setting. If my budget allowed, I would love to get the Vatche x prong in platinum. Since it doesn''t, it works out well that I also like the Legato from Whiteflash. So does GOG carry their own line of settings or do they only carry the more well known designers?

you are right in that GOG doesn''t have their own "brand" of settings like WF or ERD, but from my experience with them, they can have nice custom made from various resources.

Not all the settings they have are shown on their site, and this is a disadvantage that Jon has admitted needs tending to...

If you can get insurance for the setting of the stone, its also not a problem to have WF set it for you in the Legato.
This is exactly what I did - diamond from GOG and Legato from WF, and couldn''t be happier

That is exactly what I want to do...match the Legato with a GOG diamond. I just didn''t know if it could be done. I''ll be doing this from Canada so hopefully I''ll be able to get insurance for the setting of the stone.

Obviously it''d be easier to get it all done in one place but without seeing what GOG has available(probably not much for my price range and in platinum), I think going with Whiteflash would be simpler. Did GOG send you any settings that were similar to the Legato? I think we have similar tastes so I''m assuming you didn''t find anything appropriate from GOG. Was this a long process for you working between the two companies?

In my opinion, it is lovely and vatche has a great rep - I would've been ahppy with either, WF was just more to my budget needs.

I also purchased from International (australia), and hence I was not able to get any insurance. After thinking about it long and hard, I still went ahead , but most will advise against this.
The risk of damaging a diamond suring setting is slim with an experienced bench such as WF, but depends if you can accept the risk! That said, I am not sure if being in canada you will have more luck with insurance than I did.

I would also suggest emailing [email protected], she takes care of their settings, and they have more options that we are unaware of for you.
You could always ask for a custom quote too based on the Legato..?

It took a couple weeks in that I had alot of things to sort out, but GOG and WF were really both awesome - they worked together really well and helped me out alot. No professional jealousy/rivalry etc at all..
