custom work?

I posted the other day that I have an inherited .5ct RB (it was given to me on my 18th birthday). It''s currently set in a very sleek bezel pendant with a snake chain running through it.

My new e-ring is very antique looking (princess center), and the sleek look of the bezel pendant has never really been my style.

I''m looking to re-set the stone in a white gold rounded-corners square, or octagonal/hexagonal HALO setting. (similar to the new pendant posted here recently, just not round.)

I live on Long Island, which is why I''m interested in GOG.

THANKS!!!

Yes they do for local customers.
The dont offer custom services directly to internet customers but have serveral craftsman they work with for internet customers.

thank you so much!!!

thanks strm :-)

Welcome.

Just remember we would love to see pictures when its done :}
We just have to have our eyecandy treats.

strm is right. We generally avoid custom jobs via the net because of the intricacy of the step by step process and attention to detail that folks have in mind and it is easy for wires to get crossed during the process. We prefer clients to see it live so they can point out any changes/details they want. We can do simpler modifications to existing rings though (adding diamonds, antiqueing, refinishing, etc. that can be done via the web as in "thelittleguy"'s case) but serious custom work I generally refer out to guys like Marc Morrell (and others like him) for web stuff.

Where on Long Island are you shiny?

Hi Rhino!

Thanks for answering.
I understand you''re in Massapequa- I''m in Kings Park (n. shore, suffolk county), but my fiance works in Western Nassau, so we''re there all the time.

My family jeweler is in Manhattan (NYJE), and it''s such a hassle to get there lately... I don''t want to wait for my pendant!

Does my idea seem realistic?
Setting the RB in a squarish halo is possible, right?

THanks again

Hi Shiny,

I don''t think it''ll be a problem at all. You may want drop an email to Marie so when we return on Tuesday she''ll fill you in. Either that or call and ask for her or Christen.

Regards,
