Irish - there''s a website where you can order different sized sample vials of a lot of different perfumes, including Jo Malone, it''s called The Perfumed Court - I ordered some travel sizes of my favorites from them and was very pleased - definitely worth a shot to try out some different scents

It looks like you can choose any four Jo Malone scents, and the price varies depending on the size of the samples. Four 1 ml vials would be $10.99, four 1.5 ml vials would be $16.99, four 1.5 ml sprays would be $19.99, and four $2.5 ml sprays would be $33.99. Not bad at all!!!

I love that by itself, and I also love layering it with White Jasmine & Mint - that was a suggestion of a SA in Neiman''s, and boy was she on the money! I don''t **love** White Jasmine Mint by itself, but it is heavenly layered with French Lime Blossom or Orange Blossom. I also have Red Roses, but that one you have to tread lightly with - just a tiny spritz, or else you''ll risk being "that person" in the room with a cloud of fragrance following them around

I also love Nectarine Blossom & Honey with French Lime Blossom. Tuberose is another one I love, very warm and feminine, a great winter scent to me for some reason, though I don''t own it

For guys, DH''s signature is Pomegranate Noir, sometimes worn on its own, sometimes layered with Blue Agave & Cacao, which is soooo delicious!, or sometimes layered with a tiny spritz of Black Vetyver & Cafe, which smells so delicious and manly, like an expensive European car, cigars, coffee, chocolate, and sexiness all rolled into one!

For Christmas, I bought DH a Pomegranate Noir layering kit from Jo Malone, he really loved it and has had a lot of fun taking the concept of the fragrance layering even further. And for what it''s worth, one of my girlfriends also occasionally wears that scent, and while it smells so manly on my husband, strangely enough it smells totally different and feminine on her!

Rock ~ Yes, I think the samples I got with my order from jomalone.com were the 1.5 ml sprays too. It''s cool that the Perfumed Court offers the 2.5 ml sprays!

Gossamer ~ I had to laugh . . . I''m wearing the Pomegranate Noir today for the first time, and I don''t think it smells manly at all! LOL! But, like you said, it would probably smell totally different on a guy. I think it''s nice that so many of Jo Malone''s scents can be worn by both men and women!

So, my thoughts on the Pom Noir: I think it smells like Christmas! I don''t know why . . . it just does! LOL! Very pomegranate-y. (Is that even a word???) It has a kind of spiciness to it also, which is nice! It''s a little bit strong at first, but it mellows out pretty fast. I like it!

OK, today I''m wearing Orange Blossoms and . . . WOW!!!

I am LOVING this one!!! It''s very light . . . I don''t think you''d ever be the "too-much-perfume girl" wearing this one! It is somewhat orangey, but not overly so. The description on Jo Malone''s website says: "The scent of clementine leaves in the morning dew sparkles above a heart of orange blossom and water lily, transporting the wearer to a garden oasis." I''m not sure what clementine leaves in the morning dew smell like, but I''m definitely getting the orange blossom and water lily. I like this one enough that I could see myself dropping $100 on the big bottle!

I had a little tester vial of Orange Blossom from the last time I bought some Jo Malone, and WOW I forgot how lovely that scent was as well!!! So similar to the French Lime Blossom but with its own distinct personality. So pretty and feminine! I think tomorrow I''ll wear red roses layered with orange blossom. Or I might just go upstairs and put some on myself right now. I have no patience at all!!!

Today I''m wearing Lime Basil & Cedar. Meh. Don''t get me wrong, it''s not bad . . . it''s just not "me." It''s VERY citrusy, and a little "heavier" than most of Jo Malone''s fragrances are. I have to admit though, it''s getting better as it dries down and mellows out a bit. It would probably smell great on a guy! Maybe I''ll attack DH with it when I get home tonight! LOL!

Okay, I just put on the Lime Basil; I smell a peppery basil, with a bit of a mans soapy clean smell. Do you agree Irish? Oh, I just saw your note AG!!! Yes, it is more for men I think. Unless it combines well with something else.

I loved the idea from GossamerAngel of layering French Lime Blossom with White Jasmine & Mint, but I didn''t have FLB...so, today I layered White Jasmine Mint with Orange Blossom, and I loved it!! Orange Blossom is beautiful on its own, but a tad (just a tad) sweet. The WJM sort of mellowed it out, and it was like this sweet fresh clean smell. I really liked it!!

Amber ~ Yep, I totally agree about the Lime Basil & Mandarin. That was definitely not one of my favorites, although I didn''t hate it. Maybe I''ll like it better if I layer it with something else next time?

So, today I''m wearing Grapefruit. I like it! It''s very fresh and clean smelling, and less citrusy than I expected. I don''t like it as well as some of the other ones I''ve tried so far, but it''s still very nice!

Ohhhh, DITTO!!! I absolutely LOVE Clinique Happy! No wonder I liked Orange Blossom so much! LOL!

And I agree . . . I wish it was a little stronger. When I had it on the other day, I kept feeling like I needed to reapply it because it was fading. Oh well . . . I guess that''s a good excuse to buy the BIG bottle!

Irish, did you try this??? I love the combination! One spritz red roses with 2 spritzes of Orange Blossom was my mix. It is so pretty, you get the elegance of the red roses but the sweetness of the Orange Blossom notes.

I ditto GA on layering Orange Blossom with another scent to help it last - I find that really makes a big difference - my personal favorite combo is Orange Blossom + French Lime Blossom (I know I said that before, but its so nice, I can't help but suggest it again

)

Lasts really well - it still smells awesome at the end of the day

Amber ~ Glad to hear that the OB lasts longer when you layer it. I just LOVE it and my only complaint was that it didn''t last as well as I would have liked! And I have GOT to get some of the French Lime Blossom . . . that stuff sounds awesome!!!

Layer that one with the Red Roses, that is what I did today and it made it good that way. I tried the French Lime and it was a bit too sweet for me. I love the Pom Noir, you are right it does smell like Christmas, reminded me of pine and something else.
