Float is an icon. His Concord BD drumlines from the 80s are still considered some of the finest that ever played. I worked more in public education circles than with drum corps, but I instructed several clinics with him; he used to be a Yamaha artist but moved to another company.

We spent a week out in Nacogdoches TX that was beyond hilarious: You know his personality... Now put that CA 'cool' in the middle of the ETX piney woods, surrounded by local, down-home flavor. As you can imagine, the students ate him up, and learned a lot of West Coast vocab along the way. He's a classic (and Katherine is a talented lady).
