Does any one have the Vatche ''caroline'' setting. I have ordered the version with pave only on the basket of the prongs (not on the shoulders of the band itself).
Does anyone know how good Vatche are at ''Pave''. His settings comes with a lifetime guarantee and are supposed to ''last a lifetime''. I still hope I do not have any issues with the tiny tiny diamonds falling out.

Thanks

Regardless of how well set a designer''s pave is, one should expect that over time you will lose a few tiny stones here and there. It''s part of owning a pave ring IMO. Shouldn''t happen all the time obviously, but it will happen in a ring you plan to wear for a lifetime.

I hope I do not have to many problems since I am moving to the UK in a year and cannot find any Vatche vendors there - I have no idea how I will get it to Vatch in NY except to just FEDEX it and hope for the best. I will cross that bridge when I come to it!!

It happens, but I am sure you''ll be fine. Just make sure to remember to baby the ring a bit and take it off when you are doing anything remotely active (like carrying heavy things, scrubbing, dishes, etc.).

And do not use US to clean the ring.

If you''re getting your completed ring appraised for insurance purposes anyway, you may want an appraiser to check the melee to see if they''re all well set. That way you can tell right off the bat if it''s as sturdy as it can be.

For what it''s worth, I''m rather hard on my rings and have had no problems with pave falling out at all over the 2-3 years I''ve used/abused some of my rings. I still use my ultrasonic on them occasionally, too... I know it''s a no-no, but they clean so well

So yeah, you can prepare yourself to perhaps deal with a stone falling out over the years but it isn''t *that* common in well made jewelry. Vatche should be very well made.

littlegreykitten thanks for the advice. Charleston Alexanders are going to appraise my ring when it gets back from Vatche. I will absolutely get them to check the pave to ensure everything is set properly.

and no ultrasonic cleaners stone_cold11 - will do!
