Hi all! Hope everyone is safe and well.

DH and I are in furious landscaping mode, and our next project in installing a spa into the deck. The cavity is not huge, 2300x2300, so the size is dictated to us..but I CANNOT decide on colour. Our pool is vibrant blue, and I had pictured something similar for the spa, but I can't get the idea of a deep green out of my head. The supplier's showroom only has white, which I definitely don't want. DH just wants me to pick and is happy with whatever I decide on, which isn't helping my cause much

If anyone has a coloured spa (especially green!) would you mind sharing a pic? Given the state of the world it all feels indulgent and benign in the grand scheme of things...but I'm a super visual person and like to see before I decide. I have googled heaps of pics, bust most pictures are magazine-quality and prettied up, I'd love some 'real life' pics!

Thank you in advance!

I wouldn't do green because it reminds me of mold, mildew and algae. :knockout:

I'd go with blue.

I'd go with blue.

I agree with Kenny. My parents have an underground pool and it's painted blue (maybe more of a teal, a blue green but blue is the predominant color) and feels very calming and looks beautiful. That is the color I would choose as well. Good luck @Dandi I hope you and your DH realize the outdoor spa of your dreams. May it be an oasis of calm and tranquility amidst the chaos this world is currently experiencing.

A couple of inspiration pics. HTH.

Maybe a Caribbean blue as a compromise between green and blue? That way you get some green in there.

Enjoy. XOXO.

@kenny, good point! I had always pictured blue, but the green sample I saw was so striking and pretty, it piqued my curiosity! Now I can't unsee the algae thing

@missy your parents' pool sounds dreamy! I do love the blue of our pool, I think I just wanted to go for something different...but different is not always better! I'm thinking now a deep sapphire blue. Thank you for taking the time to post those inspo pics, I love that Caribbean blue!!

@Daisys and Diamonds part of me still is too! I'll see if I can find a pic of the green sample, it was just gorgeous. Dark green marbled with streaks of lighter green, like marble. So lovely. It's freezing here too! Melbourne is expected to get the equivalent of 1 month's rain in 24 hours :knockout:

If the hardness of your water ever goes out of balance, I would imagine the deposits left will be a nightmare on that dark green. I would ask the salespeople about this.

I hadn't even thought of that! I will definitely ask about that, thanks so much!
