I need to replace my wedding band. I have a princess cut eternity ring but two kids and many years later & it''s getting a bit snug!

It''s bumming me out not having a wedding band so I am starting the hunt for a new one. I definately want another eternity ring.

So my question is - does anyone have either an eternity band or other ring with a crisscut diamond? I have seen a few of them in person & liked them but I''d like to see more & hear about any thoughts & experiences any of you might have...

Lady, I haven''t seen an eternity band with Crisscuts but I have to say that I find those cuts very disorienting and very busy. Now an EC eternity band or a nice baguette band? Fabulous!

I''ve got my jeweler bringing in the crisscut baguette band and the cushion cut as well. I''ll probably see them this weekend.

Baguette style is what I am leaning towards. I''ve always wanted a baguette eternity ring. I''m just thinking that maybe a crisscut baguette updates what I see as being an old fashioned (in a nice way) style. My upgrade engagement ring is an ascher solitaire. I''ll post photos asap - that would probably help!

Anyhow - if you go to Christopher Designs website and look at their eternity bands then you can see the two I''m getting in to look at. The cushion is R30-0CU and the baguette is right next to it F14B-0-650.

I''m still hoping someone can tell me if they personally own one. The examples of crisscuts I have seen have been nice cut wise but inferior (IMHO) colorwise. Color is probably what I am most sensitive to so that bugged me. It seemed like they were possibly taking not so great diamonds and giving them a "blingy" cut to mask it. But that also could be just my impression because of the rest of the stuff in the store I saw them in.

If I don''t like the crisscuts I will most likely get a regular baguette cut eternity band.

I''ve never seen a crisscut in person, but they look quite beautiful in the magazine ads!

If you get a chance, please take and post pics of the ring your jeweler is bringing in, because I''d love to see/hear about its "real life" performance!

Oooh - good idea! I hadn''t thought of that. But I''ll try to get pics.

I too think they have a lot going on...
