I learned silversmithing about 11 years ago. A lady from Zuni Pueblo, here in NM, taught me the traditional way to work silver sheet ,wire and stone setting. I have since developed my own style, and it has really been a fulfilling hobby for me over the years. There are numerous gem and mineral dealers here, and I have experimented with every stone I could get my hands on or afford. I get inspiration from modern and Scandanavian styles. I have dabbled in gold, but silver is much more forgiving. It is just a hobby, and I create pieces mostly just for me, but I have sold a few pieces to friends and family.
