does anyone ever buy a diamond that''s >F color, VVS2 in clarity or is that a tad too much for an engagement ring?

I don''t quite understand the question. Is what too much???

yes there are ppl that want a VVS and won''t go lower...depends on the person. Personally as long as the stone is eye clean, I don''t care if the clarity is an SI.

I would not care personally as long as it was eye clean. I have always liked warmth in a diamond as well, but that is just me.

I have been contemplating an L that I am waiting to see in real life and in a setting to see how I like it. While waiting, I watched these two videos that nicely show the differences between colors.

I can''t see the difference between D and F in real life scenarios. D and J are different, but I still needed to see the D next to the J in order to say that it wasn''t quite colorless. This was looking at unmounted asschers in a shop against a white background. I would think that the difference would be less noticeable when set and viewed from the top.

Yes, some people do. My e-ring is D-VVS2, but then i''m colour sensitive.

I think its personal preference. Buy something within your budget that you are completely happy with! :)

Good luck

Yes, it is completely down to personal preference. Some will only consider D IF, others want max size so they choose G or H VS2 or I and J colour SI clarity.
