do you wear shorts??

I definitely wear shorts. I actually prefer dresses or skirts in the summer, but I own several pairs of shorts. I mostly wear them to go to the park (in case I want to do cartwheels) and to amusement parks (ever tried a five-point-type harness in a dress?). I also like the "dressy shorts" that have been in for the past few seasons. Example: the always-trendy Alexa Chung dressed up in shorts.

For the longest time since teenage years, I didn''t wear shorts because I think I have big thighs and shorts just highlighted them. I wear denim skirts since they don''t hug the thighs. I wore capris, but stopped because I thought they make me look short by cutting me off at the calves. I started wearing shorts again a couple years ago. Now I kind of wonder if the shorts I am wearing are too short for my age.

I have a couple pair of dress bermuda shorts, but far prefer skirts. I would never wear anything ever above the knee, but that is my own hangup.

I say rock the shorts!

A friend of mine looks great in shorts. She has a small high waist, round bum, and legs that go on forever!

The last time I wore shorts publicly I was in 8th grade. I hate the dreaded crotch monster! You know, when you walk through the parking lot somewhere and you see a woman who is eating her shorts with her hoo-ha, hate hate hate!! As long as my thighs rub as much as they do, the crotch monster would try attacking my shorts too.

I like shorts. I wear them all the time especially during the summer. If course I don''t wear any booty shorts or anything. And charbie, I love old navy shorts too!

I''m well over 50 and I''ve always worn shorts in the summer. Now that I''m older they have about a 6" inseam. When I was younger I loved shorter shorts. I hate capris. Don''t own a single pair of them.

Wow - you are all depressing me!

I am 46 and it never occurred to me NOT to wear shorts. I wear them all summer long. Certainly not if I''m dressing up or meeting with clients, but otherwise I wear them all the time.

I find skirts less comfortable than shorts in the summer, and have never experienced the "creeping" issue.

Also, I don''t wear short shorts. (I gave up the "OP" shorts after college!) My legs are one of my better features, but honestly, at my age, I don''t expect that anyone is looking!

I went through a long period of time where I never put on a pair of shorts, no matter how hot it was outside. But last year I found some great fitting shorts that had a 3.5 inch inseam and I''m so excited to wear shorts again! I went out and bought 2 more pairs.

Then today I went out shopping at our local mall and noticed that no females were wearing shorts. I saw a few people with capris, and a few women in knee length shorts, but no one had ''shorter shorts.'' It was a nice day out, and I understand that its not summer yet and my legs are a bit pastey, but I started wondering if at 26 I shouldn''t be wearing shorts a few inches above my knee?



Ill add in that there were a lot of men and children in shorts.

Unless we are talking daisy dukes, then hell yeah. At 26 you should practically be dancing around in the nudie; if it doesn''t wrinkle, dimple, jiggle, fold or flap around* then get it on show charbie.

bahahahahaha I love this answer I ditto this. I wear shorts every chance I get. I tend to always be hot and they''re less confining. I am pasty white and ALWAYS pasty white (I avoid the sun) but thankfully here in China that is the popular thing. Everyone is so jealous of my pasty white skin and tells me its so beautiful. I have no idea what I''ll do if we end up in Arizona after this ::sob::

BTW I''ve never measured my inseams and I''m too lazy to go do it now (and I''m not wearing shorts today - it''s cold!!) but I don''t wear shorts that are less than half way up my thigh, usually between half way and knee. If I had my teenaged body I''d wear shorter ones but still not short ones.
