Do you think this setting is secure enough?

I love this setting but some people commented it might not be safe, what do you think?

Yes, I do. Why wouldn't it secure? It's got an old style head and those have sucessfully held antique stones for decades and longer with no problem. It's quite lovely. Is it for you?

I haven't asked why they thought so but i guess because the prongs are more straight instead of 'hugging' the stone. Yes it's for me.

No that will be fine. It's got plenty of prong to hold the stone (more than you need honestly) and the heart detail on the side is actually a brace for the head. If there was another brace on the open sides it would be a semi-truck but as it is it's it's more than safe.

It looks beautiful barbiebien! I think with 4 x double prongs, that's a pretty secure setting - your diamond should be well secured in that head.
