Do you text and/or use your cell phone while driving?

No and very rarely to texting and talking on the phone respectively.

It''s illegal to text and drive here. I know in PA it''s illegal to use your phone and drive, period.

I''ve seen many irresponsible drivers, and many of the people who switch lanes and almost hit me, aren''t paying attention, can''t stay in a lane, ETC, are all on their cell phones.

It should be illegal in every state.

Almost never. The only exception: if there''s crazy traffic on I95 on my way to work, I''ll call in to tell them I''m running late. Usually I''m sitting in bumper to bumper traffic when I call though, and the car''s not moving.

Oprah''s declaring today a ''no phone zone'' day. Her guests have been signing pledges to not use their cell phones or text while driving for a while now.

Do you use your phone while driving? I don''t text while driving but I do talk on my phone (and I don''t have a hands-free device).

I don''t text either. I''m too cheap to pay for it. I want my phone for phone calls, not games, not music, not taking photos, not internet, not texting. PHONE CALLS. I''m clearly a Luddite.

That said, I will talk minimally on the phone while driving. But it''s usually of the "Did you stop and pick up the dry-cleaning honey?" type of stuff. Short and sweet. I don''t get on the phone for a heart-to-heart while driving. (I generally talk to my husband while I''m still at work, and catch him at home, so there is little need for too much more.) I know that''s still not good, but I would say I talk on the phone in the car....about 10 minutes per week on average. So not much.

I can''t even text if I wanted to while driving... I drive a stick, and my phone has a touch screen program, so it''s virtually impossible. I do have a program that allows to me to speak into the phone and it will text what I say, but I still won''t do it while driving. I will answer the phone, though.
