I own one, actually it was my moms and when she passed away last year I took it. Not only does it have all the names and addresses of all my aunts uncles and cousins I never had, but it is in her handwriting! I alsO get a kick out of seeing all the places my sister has lived, she has 11 address changes she has her own page!!
I voted "other" because I've tried DESPERATELY to keep a paper book of addresses...but I keep LOSING it!
I think, in the past 10 years, I've probably gone through 7 or 8 different hard copy address books. I think after DH and I buy our house and move in, I'm going to buy one, fill it up with as much information as I have, and ASSIGN IT A HOME. I have an electronic copy from our wedding invitations, which is most of the addresses I need, but I'd love to have them in a beautiful paper book.
Neither I nor my parents have ever had address books. My parents do have a phone book where they have accumulated people's numbers over the years. I don't really use it but I will keep it after they've passed away.
I still have one and use it for all the people whose address I don't use that often and don't want to put in my phone. Distant relatives, old
friends I don't keep in contact with much any more and business. That kind of thing. It definitely still has a purpose.
I have everything in multiple electronic sources, but still have an old fashioned book as a back up hard copy! Somethings are just too hard to let go of...
Yup, old daytimer, paper calendar and address book. I recently got an upgraded phone under "duress" (I got outed by my family.... who were embarrassed... )
Yes. I have a datebook with room for address I keep in my handbag. I record all appinment and effort at the gym so I can chart my progress. My husband also uses paper and we have a calendar on the fridge--we write appts, etc. so we know what is going on in the family. '
Phone numbers are also in my phone, but honestly, pressing the buttons to get to the right person takes no less time {on my phone, at least! } I just dial the number when I make a call.
I just got married so I have a spreadsheet I use. It was great for the wedding, to keep track of RSVPs, meal choices, etc. Now I use it as my address book.
