I am looooooooving the House of CB dress dupes that I’m finding on AliExpress. It’s my gradual foray into buying clothes from there and I’m starting to work out what to look for when I buy dupes. I’ve even worked out what dupe brands make the good dresses (with lining, tulle etc). Took a bit of research but it’s surprisingly transparent once you know what you’re doing.

Other things I love from AliExpress are T Shirts, hats and cute iron on patches for clothing.

Just wondering if there are any other fans of AliExpress on here and what do you buy from the platform?

I buy. It’s been ages. Link me to the dress!

So you need to scroll past the model pics cuz they straight up stole those but if you get to the dress pics, those are real. Go by the measurements for sizing.

I just found this on AliExpress: AU$90.43 | Suninheart Fashion Summer Dresses 2024 Sexy V Neck Puff Sleeve Tulle Dress Fluffy Print Holiday Party Dress Casual A Line Dress

This is what it looks like on me and trust me it’s more flattering in real life without hubby taking these pics!

Another one, same deal, ignore model pics etc

I just found this on AliExpress: AU$53.19 | 2024 Sweet Light Green Stain Pleated Ruched Strap Tank Dress Women Bow V neck Boning Slim Waist Folds Hem A-line Sleeveless Robe

Not sure why the links are posting ridiculous prices but I only paid about $35 aud for these including tax after various discounts from AliExpress.

Okay, you look amazing in that dress!

I shop on Aliexpress. Usually for Christmas decorations, craft supplies and most recently, candle accessories. I just bought a few toppers and they're really helping my candles to burn evenly.

What is a "dupe"?

Use a throw away credit card not debit or tied to your main cards with a low credit line.

I use PayPal which has been very smooth. I think they prefer PayPal? It was what popped up when I bought my first item so I’ve never tried to use other cards.

Paypal helps but its still a good idea to tie it to a low limit secondary card.

I've seen complaints of bait and switch and poor or inconsistent quality so I'll stick with the devil I know -- Amazon =)2

Oh Dupe Shmoop! :knockout:

Why not Learjet to Paris?
Stay at the Ritz!
Order Chanel, Dior, and Givenchy to send their staff to your suite to be measured for a whole new wardrobe of one-of-a-kind haute couture.

Oh come on, you know you want to.
What could that possibly cost?
Lighten up and live a little. :evil2:
It's only money.

I’ve bought only one thing — a Pilates reformer. I found the OEM for Balanced Body so I ordered it! It cost a few thousand dollars but that’s still significantly less than the prices of the handful of reformers I could find locally. i couldn’t even get any the big brands to deliver such an enormous item. The company on Aliexpress delivered the reformer assembled and ready to use. It is identical to the Balanced Body reformer that I use in the studio :appl:

Whoa!!! Haha did you use one of their coupons? That’s a huge purchase for AliExpress! And I thought I was brave buying all my dresses! I have several floating around the postal system right now!

Um…can’t recall if I used a coupon. However, my Pilate coach’s client had bought from them before, and I badly wanted to do Pilates every day. It is addictive like gems and jewels:mrgreen2:

No. We recently purchased some red light panels. It’s pretty easy to find out which Chinese manufacturing facility actually fabricated the panels, and the savings can be substantial. My husband and I decided that we’d rather support the company that did the research and developed panels. Plus we figured we’d get more knowledgeable technical support if we needed it (and we have). Privileged? Perhaps - but the extra expense is worth it to us. (And in case anyone is wondering, this isn’t “buy American” jingoism at play. We live in the US. One of our units was made by a Canadian company. Another by Aussies.)
