At work I say orientated ("I'm orientating the new hire today" or "He's orientated x3"). I believe this is the British version and I'm in Canada so it makes sense that we use that.
Outside of work I think I use both.

I cannot remember an instance of using either word. I think I'm more specific in my use of language, and I have found better adjectives to more accurately describe what I'm feeling than either of these two.

I do not think "orientated" is a word. I may be wrong, but if it were British, I think I would have been familiar with it from my reading. I always assumed that people who said "orientated" simply didn't know the that they could stop after saying "oriented". If I learn in this thread that "orientated" is British, I will be very surprised, but also educated. :))

This indicates orientated is indeed British.

I’ve always said disoriented, and so do most people I know.

I just consulted my Canadian Oxford Dictionary. It has both terms, but says that ‘disorientated’ is British, as @Mekp indicated.

Aw shucks. You're making me blush.
But shouldn't it be discommoobulated?

Yes, we must have equal representation for the men's moobulations!
